Blinking Madonna controversy grips the North End.

A videotape shot by documentary filmmaker Beth Harrington at the 80th annual Fisherman’s Feast appears to show the eyes of a statue of the Madonna blinking. Thousands of people flock to the North End in the hope of witnessing a miracle. Others accept the explanation that the phenomenon is the result of a camera malfunction.
